Booked this motel for one night, and although it decor is back in the '70,s it is clean and has everything you need.
You won't find a one bedroom for $90 a night anywhere else around here, Can sleep for if required. Parking outside the door, close to town. I would stay again!

clean and tidy, good shower temp and force, comfortable beds, although double bed a little small to share with a child who hogs the bed, room close to main road, but noise level not a problem. very close to get back on the road to travel again.

The Coachman's Lodge sounds like a good old highway motel and it is, right on the highway, looking like it should. But inside, there are large rooms. separate bedroom, kitchen facilities, table and chairs, extra bed. spread out and cater for yourself. All very clean and well-maintained. Easy access to a walking track down by the river if you are that way inclined. Walk the circuit across the two bridges. Very economical, especially with the pace it delivers.

Room Tip: Rooms front onto a drive-in courtyard, all easily accessible with easy parking.

Stayed with Coachman's Lodge Motel over Easter weekend with 5 friends and had an amazing time.

We asked for BBQ from the owner and they provided one within min's. Sound roof rooms, quality bed and heaps of kitchen appliance to play around with.

I would recommend this place if you are planning to crash in the middle of the Whanganui.

Room Tip: room beds, warm rooms, free parking, BBQ

Very clean and spacious room. Value for money. Will stay there again if I return to Wanganui. Didn't try their packed lunch as we checked in late and checked out at 10am. It's a shame that the motel was fully booked hence not able to request for late check out. Overall it is a pleasant stay.
