People from outside the region (including my parents) will say if you want the best fish and chips in Thames go to the wharf. We did and weren't disappointed. The fish is FRESH and delicious and you can choose which type of fish gets cooked for you (I highly recommend you try Gurnard). Definitely worth the short drive to get our fish and chips, would recommend.

We were travelling up the coast recently and stopped here for dinner. We were intending on stopping for a quick bite to eat before being on our way, but we ended up staying for over an hour because the outlook was so stunning. Set on a historic wharf, the picnic tables overlooking the water were a lovely place to sit in the sun. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. This will be our must-do stop on all future trips!

After a disasterous pizza dinner the night before we were looking for Thames eateries to redeem themselves...and the Fisherie outdid itself. We had a takeaway feast of fish, squid, salmon cakes and potato 'fritters'/cakes. All absolutely delicious. Just the right batter content on the fish and all so fresh. Do not miss this place

We arrived after a long drive and specifically ordered a dozen coromandel scallops.we intended to cook them in our motel.when they didn't arrive I was told they were being cooked.i went along with that only to find out when eating in very mediocre batter that they were Japanese cultured scallops, pale large and tasteless25 dollars down the drain.
