Yahava KoffeeWorks. For real coffee lovers, unpretentiously good.
We were in a chocolate shop ‘Temper Temper’ next door, by chance the young girl in the shop recommended us to try the coffee tasting. I would not normal go in there. The shop front of Yahava KoffeeWorks was a bit strange, very dark and industrious. At first glance, I thought it could be a factory of some sort. But once you get through the front entrance. The scene changed totally with a huge roasting machine running at the time. I could smell the fragrant of coffee beans. Inside the shop were tasting benches and rows of coffee bean bags. One could walk around browsing. There was a café at inner corner of the shop.
I asked a guy with a name tag “Steve” what was happening. We started chatting, and we were all from Sydney one time or the other. My wife and I are coffee lovers. We always enjoy Koner Coffee from Big Island, Hawaii. We use it as a bench marker to compare other coffee. Steve gave us a free tasting of 3 choices. They were good coffee. Steve was so energetic, enthusiastic. I could see that he really loved and trusted his product—coffee. The beans were roasted on site and blended by themselves. We purchased the Specialty Estate and Kahava beans.
This place was for real coffee lovers, unpretentiously good, surprisingly in Margaret River, the “Wine Country”. Don’t be intimidated by the industrious factory like dark shop front.
