spent two nights here at was very comfortable in the Merlot room. The sleeping area was very small but adequate for a short stay. We had the common room to ourselves which was very lucky for us. There was a private court yard accessed through the bedroom. The pot belly fire in the common room was great as our stay was late July so the nights were a bit cool. And the resident cat was a very nice touch, would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. The price included breakfast, would have liked a bit more variety on the menu but it was OK.

Room Tip: highly recommend this place if you get the chance

Stayed here for two nights, mid week in early July. We had the Merlot room. That has high ceilings and panelled walls. The bedroom was fairly small with no wardrobe space beyond a place where one could use a few coat hangers. There was reverse cycle air con that proved useful during the cool nights. The en suite bathroom was well appointed and clean. The Merlot room has use of an open lounge area furnished with leather sofas along with a wood fire and small kitchen. A downside of this is that, being open, guests staying on the floor above could inadvertently encroach on a 'cosy moment'.
Breakfast was included in our room rate and was served at adjoining La Scarpetta. Pretty standard fare and, to be honest, slightly disappointing bearing in mind our exceptional experience for dinner on our first evening.
Overall, a good stay and if quaint/period accommodation is your thing then give it a whirl.

This antique hotel/B&B is situated right off the main road into Margaret River. It is a neat & eclectic place built pre 1900 yet has modern bathrooms. The rooms are smaller but sufficient and have a few common rooms nearby. Breakfast is included and is served in the well regarded La Scarpetta restaurant located in front of the complex.

Room Tip: Room #3 is the most spacious of the choices

This accommodation is located just over the bridge as one enters Margaret River - walking distance to town, and is one of the oldest properties in Margaret River. Our room was the Champagne Room on the top level and it was indeed very cosy and nicely renovated to reflect the era in which it was built.
Breakfast was included in the tariff and was enjoyed at the adjoining La Scarpetta Restaurant.
This was a delightful placed to stay.
