Very welcoming and friendly staff, very helpful with any issues. Breakfast selection, presentation and quantities were excellent. The estate gardens were beautifully maintained and very colourful. Nice and convenient location to the town center with easy access to walking paths.

Fantastic! They nailed all the finer details too! From the beautiful grounds and fresh fruit at brekky to the impeccable service from staff to the immaculate clean rooms! Highly recommend!!! Loved the daily cake on offer and the ability to adjust to my dietary requirements with breakfast. It's great appreciated.

What a warm & friendly welcome by Beckie & the other staff members are always happy to help with your holiday needs. Love the names of our rooms. Just a beautiful & relaxing place to stay. Gardens are beautiful & rooms are the best we have stayed in. Coffee & cake was a treat in afternoons.

Our Grand Mercure Basildene Manor two night stay was too short.
We will need to return to take advantage of the tranquil surrounds.
Also to enjoy being cared for again by the clam, friendly professional staff.
So don't be in a hurry when you choose to stay at this magnificent home.

From the moment we stepped through the doorway of this luxurious historical homestead until the end of our stay a week later, all the staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful, always ensuring that our stay was comfortable and memorable.
Our room was well-appointed and comfortable, and the lovely gardens are beautifully laid out, complete with well-placed seats for relaxation or reflection.
The breakfasts (both continental and cooked) were great, with something for everyone (the omelettes were amazing!).
We will look forward to next time we stay there!
