Great way to see Margaret River, with a man who lives for the country, it’s scenery, wildlife food and wine. Sean showed us round with pride and enthusiasm that was impressive.

Setting out in his Land Rover we were soon off road and then canoeing down the Margaret River. This was the high point of the day for the family and I would recommend it to all travellers that are fortunate enough to find themselves on Sean’s tour. After this we made our way to an Aboriginal watering-hole and then on for a very special lunch at the incredibly beautiful Fraser Gallop Estate. A picnic of local foods and a tasting of their superb wines put us all in good spirits and prepared us for some of off-roading into a very remote part of the coast and a stunning walk along the coastal path.

Sean answered our questions all day and linked his story to the land, the ecology and the history of the Margaret River. We normally like to make our own way when we are on holiday, but this is definitely the tour for those who don’t do tours. Nature, adventure, wine and food with a tour guide who really loves his home and seems to love showing visitors around it.

A unique and intimate experience with a variety of opportunities off the beaten track and away from all other tour company's. Sean is passionate about the country, it's history, wildlife and wine - with in-depth knowledge of each of the above. Lunch was delicious and served in a private spot amongst some of Australia's finest wines. We can not recommend this highly enough and it's a 5 star from us!!

My family of 4 visited Perth in early Dec'17. After searching through the website of the many tours offered in Margaret River, we have decided to book with Margaret River Discovery Co.Tours. It was indeed a right choice.
On the day of the tour, we met up with our guide, Sean, a friendly, engaging and knowledgeable guy. He made us felt very comfortable with his friendliness. Our tour starts with canoeing along the Margaret River. It was in a very remote area which is definitely away from the usual tourist spot. As this is the first time that i would be canoeing, plus the fact that I can't swim, I was very worried of falling into the water even with the life jacket on. Sean assured me that I will never fall into the water and that helped put my heart at ease. Indeed, the whole canoeing experience was terrific and memorable with him providing us with information about the river.
Next, we went to the winery tours where we get to taste the different red and white wine. We also had a very special lunch in the winery, One great thing is that, unlike other tour guides who will forcefully persuade you to buy the products, Sean doesn't do anything like that So, that makes us felt very comfortable as we are not forced into buying the wines.
After the winery visit, Sean brought us for hiking. One disadvantage of going Australia during Summer is that there's a lot of flies. But, being a very well-prepared guide, Sean brought along some head net for us. The whole hiking was tiring and hot but yet it was a very good experience for my 2 boys as this is something that we will not get to do if we join a normal tour.
Overall, this was a memorable part of my Perth Trip. I would strongly recommend whoever that will be travelling to Margaret River to join Sean's tour. It is a out of the ordinary tour.
