We were a party of four adults in Geelong one night to compete in a sporting event next morning. The apartment we were in was excellent... great size, neat and clean with everything we needed available and more (would have happily stayed there for a week if time permitted). Management at the front desk were polite and very helpful. In the past we've stayed in the heart of the city when in Geelong but this was only a short drive to get in there and could not have been better placed for us. Highly recommended.
Needing somewhere to stay the night before we boarded the spirit of Tasmania, and not being familiar with Geelong we chose this accommodation based on reviews and the price. We were pleasantly surprised as it was just like staying in a two bedroom over 55’s unit. It had a full kitchen and a good size lounge area with two bedrooms and extremely comfortable beds. It also had a laundry with washing machine and dryer and the dining area off the kitchen. It was a great place to stay as we were three adults and we had plenty of space. Whilst the accommodation is about 8 km to the ship terminal, it was only a 10 minute drive at 7:30 in the morning but could take up to 25 minutes in peak hour traffic. Would happily stay here again.
We had an overnight stay here with two families. Open, Spacious, Clean and very well appointed. Would be a lovely place to stay for a week with the family. Close to the city and not far from the beaches.

In the house, a spacious living room with TV and cable. Equipped kitchen, ie fridge, freezer, pots and pans, microwave, cutleries, oven and gas stove. No kettle.
2 bedroom. Bath tub, shower, toilet.
All in all, very good.
Wholeheartedly recommend this one.
A slight negative point is that the room next to the toilet gets noisy when the toilet flushes.
Barwon Valley Lodge is in a great location in a quiet area but close enough to the main road making it very convenient. The grounds were tidy and well kept making for a nice atmosphere on the property as well.
The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything you need and our host was friendly, helpful and made our check in and out easy considering we departed early before reception opened in the morning. Highly recommended, we'd stay here again.
