“A home away from home”
Reviewed 30 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Safe parking on the property via the rear street. Spotlessly clean, very tastefully furnished, bedroom at the back so little street noise. Fabulous shower and comfy bed my important criteria well covered. Everything you needed to cook in a very well maintained kitchen. The Queen's Arm Hotel across the road has excellent meals, it has a very large capacity for diners, does a roaring trade, very efficient, not cheap pub food, the slow cooked lamb was delicious and no room for dessert. We had breakfast on our second morning at the reccommended Quarry Hill Cafe and Larder.
It was packed with locals, always a good sign. The Belgium waffles with bacon and maple syrup were divine, great service. We hope to return to Hogmort-Homes Olinda Street, not the cheapest place in Bendigo but you get way above what you pay for in comfort and all the extra touches - wish there wasn't the bowl of chocolates , couldn't resist.
