A beautifully presented and theatrically-inspired experience

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 Mar 2021
It's hard to know where to start. Hosts Andrea & Keith have created something unimaginably interesting. In my delightfully presented and air-conditioned Garden Apartment, I felt as if I was stepping into a colourful 1960's Jacques Tati film set, somewhere in regional France. Having enjoyed visits to France, lovely memories came flooding back. Everything that I could have possibly wanted for breakfast was available in my well-equipped kitchenette. Useful information on regional attractions was in my apartment as was a now obligatory internet connection. I slept soundly in a comfortable queen bed looking up at an artwork that reminded me of Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”. I loved every minute of my four night stay. I was there solo. One day, I hope to return with my partner for a romantic sojourn.

We had 4 nights at Dalfruin B&B in the Bally Vista room .

We couldn’t fault this delightful B&B at all. It was a spacious and comfortable room wonderfully decorated and thought out to ensure comfort during our whole stay .

Andrea and Keith are are very welcoming , warm and helpful hosts . They gave us great suggestions and topped our amenities and food daily . We had a great selection of food each morning .
Thank you for welcoming us into your home and making our first visit to Bairnsdale very welcoming ! We will be back

Dalfruin Bed and Breakfast is in a gorgeous garden setting which makes you feel relaxed. Andrea and Keith were very welcoming hosts. The upstairs apartment was comfortable and very quiet. The walk along the river was good although the flying foxes were a bit noisy. A wonderful place to stay.

Had a too short stay at Dalfruin with Keith and Andrea. Lovely beautifully presented rooms and great hosts. Andrea's recommendations certainly added to our trip. Wished we could have stayed longer- highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights at historic Dalfruin in September and had a wonderful time.
It's perfectly placed in Bairnsdale on Foards Hill, close enough to town to walk and far enough away to be exceptionally quiet.

The Mitchell river is very close and the river walk is not to be missed.

Our hosts Andrea and Keith were welcoming and provided lots of information on local sights and food venues.

It's a short drive to nearby Paynesville, Metung and Lakes Entrance.

Can't recommend Dalfruin too highly.

I can't speak highly enough of this property. We stayed in the garden apartment, which was delightfully decorated and very comfortable. Great attention to detail. Andrea and Keith were lovely hosts. Helpful without being intrusive. Very quiet and private. Extremely good value.
