Surprisingly good value and excellent room and facilities ie parking ; bathroom; separate lounge area in room. The property is well located opposite park and easy to drive to. Walk into the town centre is a bit long but doable

Last minute business trip, price should have warned me, room VERY dated, funky smell, VERY NOISY, currently 11.30pm and I can clearly hear the girl next door crying and yelling on her phone. No one on front desk after hours to fix the problem. Meant to be staying two nights ... checking out first thing in the morning

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us this on this occasion. Our 3 star rooms are well maintained and at the better end of 3 star comparable hotels, with the additional benefits of being within the same property as a 4 star hotel (Mercure Launceston), such as the use of our restaurant, Titanium Bar and Bistro. Your overnight safety and security is of the utmost importance to us, and to this end we operate a contracted night security firm to ensure your safety after reception closes. As listed in the room Compendium, you are still able to Dial 9 to request on-site assistance when Reception is closed. I hope that we have an opportunity to welcome you back in the future, and recommend choosing our refurbished Mercure rooms.

The most noisiest uncomfortable few days I’ve had. Mattress, bed sub standard.
Would only come back for the restaurant. Staff were great.
As stated, the most important need is for the noise levels between units and traffic, it was atrocious.

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us.
It appears from this review that you have stayed in a Hotel Launceston room. In recent years Hotel Launceston (3 star) has been undergoing a staged refurbishment plan and intend to be a full Mercure property within two years. Currently the property is a dual listed, providing Hotel Launceston rooms and Mercure Launceston rooms, offering a range of accommodation options to fit a variety of travelers. The windows in the (renovated) Mercure rooms are double glazed, but I understand that traffic noise may affect some guests more than others. Our 3 star rooms are well maintained and at the better end of 3 star comparable hotels, and as you have mentioned these rooms enjoy the additional benefit of being within the same property as a 4 star hotel (Mercure Launceston), such as the use of our restaurant, Titanium Bar and Bistro. You may find that Mercure Launceston rooms more suited to your needs in future.
Thank you very much for acknowledging the great service you received from our team members, this is great to hear.
We hope to welcome you back in the future so that we can provide a better experience next time.

We stayed for two nights on a family visit to Launceston. The greeting at reception was friendly and helpful and the room allocated although small was clean and all we needed for our stay. The bathroom was compact but clean with good towels. The hotel is well located across the road from a park and only a 5 minute walk into town. Overall a pleasant stay.

It wasn't anything special but for the price of $70 a night it was perfect, the service at reception was exceptional both ladies (sorry I can't remember their names)we delt with were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant had beautiful food and again the staff were amazing, the breakfast deal was a bargain, cereal, pastries coffee, tea, juice, fruit and a plate of egg, bacon, toast and tomato all for $16 for guests, you can't go wrong. My two complaints, no fan in the bathroom, very hard to see after a shower and of course uncomfortable bed which is most cheaper hotels, otherwise perfect. I definitely recommend this place.

Thanks for your lovely mention of our team members, the quality of our meals at Titanium, and the super valued offered in our pre-paid breakfast offer. I've noted your comment regarding the fan and bed. We do hope to see you again.
