What a great start to our short Tassie holiday. We (2A, 2C 9/11) stayed overnight in the Bakehouse and it was simply superb. The decor is tasteful, the rooms are well fitted out. The beds were comfy. We loved our breakfast basket and the apples on our pillows were some of the lovliest apples we have tasted. We really appreciated the 'mini bar' prices which we found were the same as bottle shop prices......and we enjoyed our lovely bottle of red late on a Sunday night. Thank you Katey, for giving us a wonderful start to our holiday. A top 'first impression'.

Pied-à-terre is a better description for Two Four Two than apartment rental. The design and decor of our unit-the Bakehouse-was fun and creative with a contemporary flair. We could have easily spent a few more days. The location is within a few minutes walk of the downtown shopping and attractions. Within a 100 meters of the apartment are dining options as well as gourmet food options if you choose to eat in. The apartment was well stocked with quality items. Another couple could have stayed in the loft bedroom without making the unit seem crowded.

We stayed at Two Four Two for the 4th or 5th time and have already booked our next stay. The location is perfect, the bed supremely comfortable and attention to detail amazing. We love all the little touches about the place the apples on the pillow, magazines IPOD docking station and great selection of yummy breakfast provisions. You couldn't ask for anything more. Thenowners KAtie and Allen always make you feel welcome.

We stayed two nights at Two Four Two on the first part of our visit to Tasmania, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised from the moment that I walked into the door into the ultra chic Bakehouse. It's located right in the heart of Launceston, with great restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

Unfortunately the owner, Katie, couldn't be there when we arrived, but she came to check on us when we settled in. The Bakehouse contained everything you'd need: a parking space, two cosy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with the more than enough breakfast provision and espresso machine, a bathroom with a bathtub, a living room that had a flat screen TV, DVD player, and iPod dock. The board games, DVD collection, books and the box of recommended restaurants with their menus were a nice touch to the Bakehouse.

However, the thing that I loved most about Two Four Two were the fact that it promoted everything Tasmanian: from the local wines to featuring the local designers - they even provided Tasmanian toiletries!

To sum it all up - I'd have to say that it was a shame that we only got to stay here for two nights and that we can't move in for the long term. Thank you Two Four Two for the amazing two nights in Launceston.

Two Four Two really has it all. We stayed in the Bakehouse for 2 nights and it was fabulous. The apartment was beautifully furnished, with many little extra touches such as throw rugs, a selection of DVDs, an I Pod docking station, lots of great magazines and yummy cookies. The weather was beautiful during our stay, nevertheless one night we opted to eat in - as we were just so comfortable. We visited Alps & Amici to stock up on just cooked chicken and mushroom pies, gourmet icecream and salad greens and had a fantastic meal tucked up in our apartment. The location of the apartment is perfect and an easy walk to the centre of town. We will never stay anywhere but here when visiting Launceston.
