The lake is visible from most parts of the drive around the lake or it can be easily walked. A must see in Mt Gambier.

I will call it a ‘Must visit’ if you are in the area. The lake is beautiful, serene and peaceful. The garden around the lake is well maintained and adds to the local beauty.

Also recommend to take a walk around the lake and visit ‘Blue lake scenic view tower’.

A must see attraction of Mount Gambier. This lake is contained in a crater and appears a brilliant blue colour hence it’s name. You cannot walk around the waters edge, but the view from many advantage points, lookouts and parks is amazing. This lake is Mount Gambier’s main water supply.

Been here a few times, taken friends and family. Will still go again as it's an incredible view. Photos cannot do it justic you have to see it to believe how blue it really is especially on a beautiful sunny day.

The lake was formed from a volcano activity million of years. There is a guided tour for $10 which will take you to the bottom.

There's a small park so you can bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon.

There's also bathroom facilities in the area.
