This is a large area with a lot of potential, some really great things but i feel it needs a lot more, so did my children. Fantastic sculptures in the rocks and the huge wooden lizard are incredible

The old railway area has been made into a play area for children . And an amphitheatre it's a great area for walks where the old tracks went have been tar sealed for walkers / push bikers/prams etc and goes quite a way there has been some wonderful thought gone into this . Congratulations

We attended an Australia Day breakfast and many locals attended.

It is nicely kept and makes good use of the old railway line area

One of the best natural playgrounds my kids have been too. This playground doesn’t hit you in the face with bright colours and plastic, so my kids were initially a bit reluctant. But after a few minutes it was wonderful to witness their sense of adventure and imagination take off! My kids are 8 & 5 and both were equally entertained. What I liked most was its sense of old fashioned play and the opportunity to take calculated risks climbing or traversing natural structures. Also the sense of space in amongst redundant railway tracks is pretty cool. Hats off to its designers.

sometimes a rail corridor is left as wasted space (Im talking about you jolimont in melbourne).. the railway lands is a clever reclamation of such a space. well done to the farsighted people behind idea
