“Would come again. Nice food and service, bit pricey and tatty”

Standard yiros was $13 which seems a bit much but this is Jetty Rd after all. Food was nice, fitout was ok though a little run down. Nothing terrible and I'd come here again if I was after a yiros, but nothing outstanding either.

I only gave it a score of 1 because it wouldn’t let me rate lower! Very misleading when sign says “voted best Yiros for 30yrs” how can this be with new owner! A big disappointment...

Lots of fish and chips shops on jetty rd. Makis yiros is not really a fish and chip shop but they do sell fish and chips. Best value chips and a big bag of golden Crispy, salty, hot chips. If you like wedges don't come here. If your a fan of the crunchy ones, you will be delighted. Family run, old school perfect. Added bonus your by the beach.

The worst fish and chips I have eaten in my 6 years living in Australia. Fish grilled on the same hot plate as the beef and lamb. The small portion of fish tasted of meat and burnt oil. The service was chaotic and we had to beg for a plastic fork, no seasoning was offered or serviettes. I asked for a salad and even through there were plentiful on view, I was refused saying he had no salad. Clearly he wanted the salad for kebabs etc. The owner was abrupt and rude to us. I would never return to this venue again.

Great little spot with a traditional Greek dude.. Then ate at the Glenelg beach which was great.. Reasonably priced however chips weren't the best
