We went to D'Arcy Arms to have Christmas in July as it is one of only 2 restaurants we know that have a real fire wood fire place. We had Oysters natural & Kilpatrick fresh from Tasmania, their Pate is delicious, we both opted for the Christmas lunch special of roast turkey, ham, roast vegies & gravy with a nice bottle of red to wash it down. As well as the fire place there are Christmas decorations to set the scene. Hubby tried the steamed pudding with an Irish Coffee I choose a refreshing cocktail to finish off. This Irish restaurant is under going a total refurbishment under new owners with a deck being added & all the motel rooms have been refurbished as well. There is also the bar to chill-lax at if you just to drop in for a drink. The staff are also lovely & stopped by our table for a wee chat. A lovely lunch was had all round.

There are at a half dozen "Irish Pubs" in Surfers , but this is far and away the closest experience to the real thing. Very nice little bar with bar seating and seating at tables made from barrels. The fire place was a nice touch and even at the Gold Coast it comes in handy when it is cold and wet outside. Good music and the food was of a good quality with the regular Irish Fare. Also have a good bar menu if you want something lighter and it has a very nice restaurant attached to the bar. Again pleasant atmosphere. Has a good selection of beers. It is a little outside of Surfers , but close to the Northcliffe tram stop so it is worth the short journey if you want a change from central Surfers.

Visited twice in 24 hours we enjoyed it so much! Went on a Saturday evening for drinks & food - there was four of us and we each had a meal and a few drinks and it was around $130. The food was really good - my husband & I both had sausages & mash with veg - veg was crunchy which was great & mash & sausages were lovely. There was a real fire going in the bar area which made the pub lovely and warm. Whilst we were there we saw they did roast dinners on Sundays so we went back the next day for a roast! There was roast pork & roast beef. I had the pork which was so nice - there was also roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, yorkshire pudding, veggies & crackling plus gravy. The beef dinner looked similar - it was bit too pink for one person but he likes meat well done - others said it was delicious. The roasties tasted home made rather than bulk frozen ones which we've had from other places doing a roast. Again on Sunday the fire was blazing and it was lovely to enjoy a glass of red relaxing in front of it! It was definitely a nice change from a lot of the typical gold coast pubs - we'll be back!

We decided to try D’arcy Arms Restaurant on a whim after noticing it one day in passing. We are so glad that we did. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly welcome and seated straight away.

The pub itself had the atmosphere, I assume, a true Irish pub would have. It was cosy yet comfortable; the walls were adorned with Irish tokens and had Celtic music playing in the background.

The service was quick with orders taken and food received in timely (but not rushed) fashion. Our server Brittany was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.

Our meals were delicious and very reasonably priced for the generous size. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would recommend a visit here.
