Had a stroll through the gardens on a stunning winters day, very peaceful with beautiful gardens. Loved the abundant bird life playing throughout. Good place to take a picnic rug and book or ideal just for a peaceful stroll.
Took my parents for a walk on a sunny winters day. Beautiful, peaceful. Well maintained- you can see the work that is being put in for maintenance and development of new areas (eg bush tucker area). A lovely way to see different types of gardens (eg woodland, succulents, rainforest, herb etc).
The only thing thing missing is a small cafe for ppl to enjoy a coffee or a cuppa in this beautiful setting.
Beautiful and interesting gardens with different themed walks. Large playground for kids also a good free family day out
Along with the extensive garden walks, which constantly evolve, there are a number of features making this garden special. Throughout the year the Gardens are used as an art space, outdoor movie theatre, market area, music venue - see website for upcoming events. The Discovery Centre cottage holds regular Sustainability events for adults and children, and there is a book bank located inside the main gate, as you walk toward the Duck Pond.
The gardens are a lovely place to just wander about and discover different plants, shrubs, colours and textures. I spent a few hours there with my sister-in-law who lives in the USA and is a very keen gardener. We were both very impressed with the layout and scope of the plantings. A great place for a picnic with friends and family.
