Recently stayed at the family apartments. Aircon not working and fridge leaking water. Staff are very helpful and upgraded our stay. This place was fantastic 4 years back but run down now. Was told that big works are being commenced in March.

Comfortable, and good size room, but in dire need of an upgrade, A few issues that were resolved but had to be bought to the attention of the staff, curtains missing from the rooms, no shower cap.
The wardrobe was starting to rot at the bottom of the side panel.
Our fridge slid of the floor onto the carpet when we opened the door.
Were trying to charge us for a mini bar fee, which we never touched, but this issue was resolved.
Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast a bit pricey at $12 basically for cereal, tea and toast.
Very easy small walk to the Port Kembla Golf Club , where we enjoyed an evening meal

After stating specific needs (that I am receiving treatment) and need easy access, we were place up stairs. When wanted to be moved, we were placed in a room that had terrible stains on the carpet, dirty bath and marks on the bed covers. On waking in the morning, there were cockroaches everywhere. Very sad, won't be back.

Stayed in room 112 in one of the older blocks. Room faced the golf course. So where to start....no plug and no cover on the light fitting above the sink. Signs of mould on the grouting of the tiles. When you turned the tap on, the rest of the tap/filler moved as well.
There were stains on the curtains. Large gap at the bottom of the door which insects or larger would have had no problem getting in. The room looked very 'tired'.

We have stayed in many Comfort Inns over the last thirty years, but this standard was very disappointing. There is a newer block, on the other side of the pool.

The laundry room was dirty with cobwebs, filthy floor and a rusty cupboard.

Room tip: Ask for the newer block

We stayed in Fairways House for a night when we just wanted a place to sleep. The room was large and cleaned. However the fittings, furniture and carpet were old and stained - we expected this for the budget price that we paid. The room had everything you needed for a decent nighs sleep. It was lovely to walk to the golf club for dinner and a drink. The toiletries and cookies were better than we expected and the staff at reception were friendly and helpful.

Room tip: The room next to the highway had a lot of traffic noise throughout the night.
