I had not held a function here before and I am pleased to see my experience was excellent! From my first enquiry, Suzie Hamilton, Events Manager, was friendly, helpful and accommodating in putting together a package to meet my brief.
The evening before she stepped me through the room and all the facilities to ensure. I was comfortable with everything. The room was setup perfectly with everything I need and then some. I would highly recommend Suzie, her team and The Powerhouse for any function and will certainly be using this venue again.

We held our annual training day here again this year, the 9th year in a row. Again we couldn't fault the service, friendliness of staff, the food and overall venue. Everything arrived on time as requested. Suzie, Di, Karen, Dane and all the staff looked after us extremely well as they always do and nothing was too much trouble. The recent conference room, restaurant and bar refurbishments are lovely and make for a very nice ambience. A definite improvement from the colder tile courtyard, although Im not sure the display cabinet will appear to everyone. We will be returning again next year as this venue provides everything we need.

Visited for the first time with friends from overseas. Had heard a bit about this place with a few different responses. First thing I saw as we walked into the dining room were two huge sides of beef hanging in what looked to be a purpose built cabinet. I am not sure what they were trying to achieve with this (look classy?, well it failed miserably) I only know I was put right off having to eat my meal beside these lumps of raw meat. The menu was mediocre with a range of items on it with names that myself, my friends AND the wait staff did not understand. Probably would have been ok if you were serving a table of chefs. Food was WAY WAY over priced. I'm sorry but $55 for a small piece of steak and some chips in the same little basket I can get at any pub is not my idea of good value. Decor was dull and boring with way to much wood and a lack of colour.. I was actually embarassed to be there with my fiends as it was very dissapointing. I would not recommend it to anyone.
