First time to Tamworth and was not sure what to expect.
However the powerhouse was a pleasant surprise.
Room was very clean and comfortable. The addition of a microwave and some basic utensils also was a great addition.
Staff were lovely, friendly and efficient and nothing seemed to be an issue.
On the negatives, the room service menu was disappointing. Too much seafood options and not a great variety, unless you love seafood, you will struggle! Also the cost is extreme, to pay nearly $40 for a burger is a bit much! Then add the room service charge on top! Very expensive. Only other options is to wait until I want to order some simple food at 10pm
Breakfast also very expensive nearly $30 for two poached eggs and two bits of bacon and a orange juice.
The fact there is nothing really around the powerhouse for other options unless you want to walk around in the heat, or buy and warm up in the microwave leaves you with few choices.
Would I recommend the powerhouse. Yes! The accommodation and staff lovely but the menu could do with a review, maybe then the cost would be looked at.

This is a great place to stay if you want a little more than the usual motels offer. The rooms are very upmarket, as is the whole place. Quick check in by friendly receptionists, good size rooms which are extremely clean and comfortable.

I stay here regularly for business and wouldn't go anywhere else. The restaurant has been recently renovated and provides 5 star service and menu.

Ok firstly I stayed in a studio spar room.
The room was ok, nice for a stop over or a couple of nights and close to town.
Now on another note when ever needing reception with the hotel or restaurant you are left there waiting wondering if anyone is working.
And the restaurant itself has a very nice feel about it and the menu seems to be put together well lots of nice food, unfortunately it is let down by the cooks or cook with not much care put into the dishes (we strongly considered not eating at the restaurant for the remainder of our stay)and odd behavior coming from the kitchen which I can only describe as frat boy behavior in particular two tattoo sporting young guys.
