Owner description: HELLO KOALAS SCULPTURE TRAIL, PORT MACQUARIE Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail is a fun and entertaining day out for people of all ages. There are over 56 one metre high fibreglass koala sculptures, dotted across the Port Macquarie-Hastings region, from the mountains to the sea. The hand painted and mosaic sculptures have been created by selected artists and offer a dazzling display of original artwork. Hello Koalas is a bold, ambitious and imaginative sculpture project, which celebrates one of Australia's iconic animals - the Koala. Above all, it is designed to generate a sense of fun and surprise for everyone who comes across one of the creatively decorated koalas resting in parkland, lazing by the river, waiting outside the shops, or playing with children. The Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail Guide is available at most Tourism outlets, including the Visitor Information Centre at the Glasshouse in Clarence Street, in Port Macquarie's CBD or you can download a pdf online before you arrive. The Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail is not owned by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. The Trail is run by a private family company and the Hello Koalas sculptures are sponsored by local businesses and organisations to enable the Trail to be a free and fun experience for all ages.

Every city should have one of these going on, would encourage tourism and people getting out and about a lot more. Great artworks and great cause too!

You have summed up our Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail very nicely. Thank you!
Getting to know our region through the discovery of our 60+ Hello Koalas sculptures seems to be hit with many visitors and we are fortunate to have so many talented artists involved - our sculptures are fine pieces of art and very engaging too, making the Trail fun for all ages. And at the heart of the Trail, is a commitment to promote koala care and conservation. We are fortunate to have as our principal partner, Port Macquarie's Koala Hospital (set 1973) which cares for over 250 koalas a year, helping them to rehabilitate after illness or accidents so they can be returned to the wild. We appreciate and value your acknowledgement.

The sculptured koalas are colourful and in places that you wouldn't expect to find them. A different walk for young and old

We very much appreciate hearing your comments because you have identified three aspects of the Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail we aim to achieve - especially the way the Trail offers different but fulfilling experiences for people of all ages. We noticed that very point today when we launched our latest sculpture Lady Lola The Dancing Koala at the Glasshouse Arts and Visitor Centre. We loved the delight and smiles and excitement from little people, their parents and grandparents all at the same time. Thank you for your review.

We enjoyed finding the Art Koala's and took a photo of those we found.
What a great way to encourage people to engage with Art and Koala's. We didn't have the time to find them all but I expect it would be a good thing to do if you have children.

The Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail is designed to delight and intrigue people of all ages, from an artistic and environmental aspect, so thank you for sharing your experience and reaffirming our intentions. And we want people to have fun finding our Hello Koalas. It seems, young and old love a treasure hunt! Our latest Lady Lola The Dancing Koala takes up residence at the Glasshouse later next week in time for Easter. Hope you have a chance to see her before you leave our town. Thanks again for your review and coming to visit.

Once there were just a few koalas scattered around town. Now there is a whole trail of bright and colourful koalas through out the Port Macquarie area. You can get a map with explanation from the information office or from most accommodation places.

There are 62 koalas to be found dotted all over the area and we had fun finding some of them, and looking at how they were dressed and decorated. I loved having my photos taken with them, very enjoyable

Developing our Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail has been such an amazing journey, commencing with 50 sculptures back in September 2014 and the Trail continues to grow and expand. Our brand new sculpture Lady Lola the Dancing Koala will be on display at the Glasshouse for Easter and is our Festival Queen for the Hello Koalas Festival over the June Long Weekend .. hope you come back to visit us again soon. Thank you for your 5 star review. It's great to hear we are "on the right koala track"!!
