Lovely coffee and pastry. Lovely friendly staff and very quick service. Nothing seemed a bother. I will definitely come back here.

Urban Grain are such a welcome addition to the local scene. Have enjoyed other products- the fig Danish is exquisite- but had pre ordered hot cross buns for Good Friday. Glad I did, they are perfect in every way....

I ordered a chocolate croissant- it was really good- only critique is that it would have been better if it had been warmed a little so the chocolate was oozing
looks like everything is made on site
good value especially as hotel wanted $29 for a buffet breakfast

Turned up with high hopes for a good Mod Artisan bakery..

It had all the apparent Hallmarks.

Products looked great, good quality flour from Wholegrain milling on display ..

Unfortunately the croissant was collapsed in the middle and doughy .. a seeming process fault

The loaf we got was mostly good but a doughy blind (lacking in aeration) section was disappointing as it made a good 1/3 of the loaf a bit inedible in what was otherwise a very nice loaf of bread

We had made a detour to Port Macquarie specifically to go to the bakery and unfortunately we were already on the road again when we discovered this or we would’ve gone back and had a chat ( I’m sure they would’ve gladly replaced the items)

I will go back again ..

On a positive note .. the Fig and cream cheese Danish was excellent, very generously topped with fresh fig, glazed just enough and enough pistachio on top to be classed less as a garnish and more as an integral part of the flavour profile .

very refreshing to see a variance from the tired old standards we all too often see on Viennoiserie

The coffee was also excellent .. highly recommended

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable

This little bakery is amazing. It's a real asset for Port Macquarie.
Their range of breads and pastures is extensive and delicious, and when we visit Port we always call in to buy a selection of their goodies to take home. They've been open just over a year now and although we've never done it, you can eat there and have coffee etc.
Their Almond Croissants are to die for, and my husband is huge fan of their muffins. We also love their bread and their new wholemeal bread with sprouted wheat is delicious.
