Quite simply the service was great and the food was sensational.
We started the night with some cocktails and they were devilish good.
My wife had the scallops to start and I had the octopus. The scallops were cooked to perfection and my octopus was so tender that it melted in my mouth. Never had octopus this tender, streaks ahead from anywhere else that I had octopus.
For mains, my wife had the barramundi and I had the duck. My wife's comments was that the fish was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and the vegetables with it worked with the fish. My duck was cooked perfectly with the meat falling off the bone and the beetroot, beetroot puree, sauce and radish slices meshed with the duck beautifully.
We only had the two courses so we only finished with coffee, but it was filling so we really didn't need dessert.
The staff were friendly and were not pushy for you to have more.
Highly recommend The Mill Restaurant on Estate Tuscany to everyone, and next time I'm at the Hunter Valley I'll be back there to eat.
