Quite simply the service was great and the food was sensational.

We started the night with some cocktails and they were devilish good.

My wife had the scallops to start and I had the octopus. The scallops were cooked to perfection and my octopus was so tender that it melted in my mouth. Never had octopus this tender, streaks ahead from anywhere else that I had octopus.

For mains, my wife had the barramundi and I had the duck. My wife's comments was that the fish was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and the vegetables with it worked with the fish. My duck was cooked perfectly with the meat falling off the bone and the beetroot, beetroot puree, sauce and radish slices meshed with the duck beautifully.

We only had the two courses so we only finished with coffee, but it was filling so we really didn't need dessert.

The staff were friendly and were not pushy for you to have more.

Highly recommend The Mill Restaurant on Estate Tuscany to everyone, and next time I'm at the Hunter Valley I'll be back there to eat.

We were staying at the Estate Tuscany resort and enjoyed our daily breakfast at the Mill Restaurant as we did with our only dinner at this fine restaurant (we were there from Monday to Wednesday and the restaurant only opens for dinner Wednesday to Sunday) .

For dinner we chose the 2 course meal at The Mill.
From the time we walked in, the service was fantastic.
Kris ensured that we felt as welcome as close family and helped us through the menu, explaining the origin and cooking method for our chosen meals. Entree: Wood fired prawns, avocado, watermelon radish; and,
Main course: Humpty Doo Barramundi, green peas, charred cucumber, velouté.
The food was delicious and well presented. An enjoyable end to our stay at Estate Tuscany.

Fantastic venue, well situated with an amazing view of the Brokenback mountain range. Staff were very attentive, and we had a lovely big open fire. Good selection of local wines and the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back to show my partner.

Our first night in the Hunter Valley and we had a 2 course meal at The Mill. From the time we walked in, the service was fantastic. The food was delicious and dining with my partner we both received our meals at the same time. I know a small thing but it makes a big difference.

The food was well presented, and we really enjoyed the meal. Would recommend The Mill if you get a chance, I would definitely go back.

Dined there for the first time after given a birthday voucher for the Mill. We opted for the 3 course dinner which came out a little slow but was well worth the wait. The meals were tasty and substantial, would definitely return here in the future if given the opportunity.
