So close to Sydney yet truly a world away, the Hunter Valley is the birthplace of Australian wine with over 150 premium wine producers holding a very special place in the global wine industry. Oaks Cypress Lakes Hunter Valley Resort is located in Central Pokolbin neighboured by the vineyards of Brokenwood, Tamburlaine, Pokolbin Estate, Audrey Wilkinson, Roche Estate (formerly known as Tempus Two) and Hunter Valley Gardens. The iconic 300 acre resort includes a golf & country club, two restaurants, two bars, three pools, two tennis courts and a wide variety of self-contained accommodation. The thoughtfully appointed one, two and three bedroom villas are set against a stunning backdrop of the rolling golf greens and spectacular Broken Back Mountain Range. Unique event venues, activities, team building, support services and arguably the best service delivery in the region highlight the resorts' position as New South Wales' meeting and event destination of choice.

Service of the staff and all resort facilities were good. The room we stayed in was very tired and in desperate need for an upgrade. WE have not had a holiday in some time so were disappointed in the standard of our room. The resort grounds were great for young kids with kangaroos everywhere for the children to see .

Good morning Michelle

I very much appreciate the recognition of the fantastic service received from our staff; something certainly shared with them.
We have obviously fallen well short of your expectations with the accommodation and for this I am sorry. Your comments are respected and I can assure you addressed with the owner. As you suggest, this does not reflect our usual levels of accommodation and all efforts are made to clearly advise these have not been refurbished across all supply channels and indeed with discount coupon site whom your vouchers were purchased. That this product proposition was not clear ahead of your arrival disappointing and the obvious impact to your stay regrettable.

I hope we are able to welcome you in again in the future into our Premium Villas and look to ensure we not only attend fully to your expectations but hopefully come some way to recover from this last experience.

Your host

Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with my husband and daughter. Fully self contained with 2 bathrooms. Air con and fireplace. King size bed in the main bedroom. Very large estate to get around, the resort offer a courtesy bus to pick up and drop off between villas and restaurant.

Hi Sarah
Please you and your family enjoyed your stay with us here in Pokolbin - the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country.
Thank you for the kind review and we hope to see you in again soon.
Sincerely

The full-service resort provides 24 hour reception, family dining options, smart dining, a main bar, boutique whiskey bar, a variety of swimming pools, tennis courts and golf Pro shop. Terraced into the natural bushland surroundings are the villa accommodation, providing guests with extraordinary views over the golf course fairways, Broken Back Range and the resorts own vineyards. Lucky guests are treated to a morning visit from the resident kangaroos and kookaburras in the private accommodation setting

We stayed during the Easter long weekend in April with a family of 10, staying in 2 villas. It was a wonderful stay, great hotel facilities, pool, tennis, basketball, gym, bike riding, spa, golf. The hotel also had so many kids activities arranged for Easter which kept them all amused. The food was also fantastic, and great service from all the staff. It was hard to fault anything. Would stay again when next in the Hunter Valley.

Ah, keeping kids amused…
Reminds me of a sign discussed with the team prior to the event “Unattended Children will be given double espresso and told wild stories about what the Easter Bunny gets up to after the chocolate run”…

But everyone had such a good time, seems only lesson we learned was “don’t hide the Easter Eggs an hour before the event on a 30 degree day”

Thanks so much for choosing to spend your holidays with us here in the Hunter Valley. Glad you and your family have some great memories and we look forward to seeing you all in again soon. Recognition of our staff’s service delivery on this forum appreciated.
Safe travels. Much fun

Regards
Niel Mason

Hello Joanna,
I am sorry.
I get to work alongside some truly amazing individuals everyday who enjoy sharing the best of Hunter Valley Wine Country. That you did not see this and that we appear to have fallen so short on our service delivery is disappointing. Your comments noted, respected and certainly addressed.
Sincerely
Niel Mason
