We both really enjoyed the tour,we did the afternoon tour and were picked up right on time by our very friendly tour guide Graeme. He then took us to our first winery on the tour where we saw how they made there way and tried some delicious wines in there tasting room, I even bought a bottle of semillon which is a speciality in the area and we don’t even normally drink white wine! We then headed to our second stop on the tour and again had some delicious and unusual wines in a beautiful setting. Finally we made our to the two fat blokes cafe/winery for some incredible wine and cheese pairings in beautiful surroundings. Would thoroughly recommend the tour to anyone wanting to explore the hunter valley

I’ve lived in Australia for ~6 years and I knew when my family came to visit me from Florida that we had to go to the Hunter. My dad doesn’t drink wine and my partner prefers beer, whereas the rest of us are wine drinkers, so the Beer Belly Tour was the perfect solution. We had a great time and got to taste some awesome beers and wines, along with some amazing meats and cheeses. Plus we had the added convenience of being picked up at our accommodation :)

We went on the beer tour to keep the hubbys satisfied on the first day we had so much much fun with Bill, our guide we decided to sign up for the next day. The hunter and gathers full day winr tour, Both tours did not disappoint. My personal favorite tour was the beer it was eye opening on all the delicious flavors each venue had. But in saying that the wine tour definitely satisfied the taste buds... Two Fat blokes food and drinks were so delicious we actual got a take home anit-pesto platter and enjoyed back at our room after a huge day of wine tasting.

After some initial confusion around pick-up times (we only booked the late afternoon prior) we were on the comfortable, airconditioned van, with Bill our guide.
Bill was very friendly, knowledgeable and a local of the Hunter, who had an extensive history of working in the wineries in the region.
2 more pick ups and we were away.
The wine and cheese pairing was extensive, a lot of wine and cheese!
Some good lessons in wine tasting and pairing. Only thought, was it was very early in the day for so much cheese (maybe not for some though).
Onto the next winery and again, a full tasting and then some.
Finally a 3rd stop where we met Matilda and again indulged in some very fine wines.
This certainly was a sampler!
Very friendly people evverywhere we went and plenty of wine.
The wines did come out thick aand fast and was a little too much, too quickly for most of our group.
I'm not sure if the full day is done at the same pace.
Certainly got our monies worth and they even helped 1 couple get to their next destination, without prior organisation.
Well worth the trip.

If you are visiting Hunter Valley I cannot recommend more highly this excellent tour of wineries and micro brewery. We spent a wonderful day visiting five wineries and a micro brewery where we tried many (very many!) different wines finished off with beer at the micro-brewery! The chocolate and wine pairing was a particular joy as was the cheese and wine pairing. A special thanks to our guide Julie who made sure that the whole day was not only interesting but an absolute joy! We had a great group and by the end of the day and after 2.5 bottles of wine each, we became became lifelong friends!

Our driver and guide, Julie, gave us an informative and fun afternoon visiting three different wineries including a cheese and wine pairing experience. Great value for money.
