Rob the manager was nice, which was pretty much the best thing about the place. Inquired about a massage when we booked in and was told they had one spot on our second day. When I confirmed the time the next day, I was told it was booked as he had forgotten to put it in. First strike. Last night of a 3 night stay, a large group was partying in the pool area, drinking alcohol despite numerous signs saying no alcohol near the pool. We were told the next day that the party had removed all the signs about no alcohol and had vomited around the pool. Manager stated they had spent $12,000 on treatments so couldn't ask them to leave. Second strike. Only told about ban on using the spa baths in the room between 10pm and 8am after we left, as we endured the loud truck like rumbling above our room at 10am and 8pm one day. Third strike. NOT a resort and would not recommend. Will not return.

Room tip: Don't book it!

Our room was very nice, very clean and spacious. We booked this Motel for the spa but it was a bit of a let down with only a few jets in working order.

There was little cutlery and we had to butter our toast with a spoon and use our saucers as plates for our breakfast.

Just small things but for $200 a night I expected better.

I would stay again as the room was very updated Nd comfy

Was quite excited to be coming here for a night for a couples get away. Upon “trying to” enter the room the door lock was broken and this took us a few minutes to figure out, we almost called the front desk - but got there!
Upon entering it was pretty nice, but not as great as a “presidential suite” should be! Other than the steps to the spa I’m assuming all other rooms are the same just cheaper? The bed was quite comfortable, however heater was too hot, then turned off it got cold quickly. Nice thought with the gas log fire though but no way to turn it up or down. Unfortunately the fridge didn’t keep our food or drinks cold :-/ … we went to the Roman baths and the floors were saturated, however they were good. We did want to have a massage pampering session but we’re told they were fully booked out to people (that weren’t even staying a night)? Um… ok but what about your overnight guests? Those that pay to come here for that experience? Not really good enough isn’t that the point? They’ve obviously outsourced their massage and pampering services to people who aren’t guests at the hotel to make some extra $ cause they have a few things here to fix up! On the outside and upon first coming it’s lovely and exciting but you quickly realise that it’s not what it seems. An adults only “retreat” yea but no food, no room service, no restaurant even though it states that it has one! And we noticed a big “for sale” sign on the front gate - so that explains a lot!
We would come again, $299 was a good price to pay for a “presidential suite” or their version of one anyway! Bath bombs and champagne was “complimentary” BUT the candle isn’t!!! It’s $35!!! Doesn’t have a scent (we couldn’t smell it anyway) and is mixed in with the “complimentary” items??? Deceiving much!
Overall had a nice time but disappointed there’s not accommodations like appointments saved and offered to guests for spa treatments, room service or even a continental breakfast? Would probably come again IF it sells and the new owners vamp the place up cause it’s just an old icon wasting away with the “impression” that it’s an adults only full spa resort experience when it’s not.

Room tip: Book tables to go anywhere to eat because the bowling club is very busy even mid week. Meals are good and cheap but no takeaways!

Loved this place. The service was fantastic and we loved the touches of luxury with the gas fireplace and spa bath in our room, with a complimentarybottle of champgne and bath bombs. We especially loved being able to relax in the bath house and swimming pool in the peace and quiet and not having to worry about kids splashing about and being loud in general. Whilst the place is a tiny bit dated, I loved the European vibe of the place and highly recommend. We will be back. Would have loved if the restaurant was open, however, the taxis are very prompt and we enjoyed a great meal in town. The bakery across the road was also very easy to get to.
