We stayed in the 3 bedroom “Cottage” which is at the rear of the motel. Our cottage was spacious, warm, quiet, sparkling clean and well-appointed. The reception staff were courteous and efficient. A delightful stay!

Taking safety measures
Positives
Location - short walk, less than couple metres to main business Street, coffee shops, pubs etc. google says 500 metres but took me only couple metres to walk. Located on quiet street with plenty street and off parking.
Room - large room with king bed (two singles together). Also included single bed. Plenty room for several people with a lounge, cupboards, kitchenette, more cupboards etc. very clean with modern bathroom. Great hot water and shower pressure. Good sized flat screen tv with all channels, Foxtel limited movies and several fox sports channels. Quality as new block out blinds.
Staff - good old country hospitality. Friendly welcome and departure. Perfect in every way.
Grounds - In-ground pool, large and clean.

Room was a little dark as a result of positioning.

I read that this motel was a hidden gem and boy whoever wrote that was right. I booked BOTH the 3 bedroomed cottage and the 4 bedroomed cottage for myself and 9 other ladies to spend a long weekend in Dubbo to attend a Red Hat Ladies Convention. After the very long drive from Tumbarumba in our minibus and trailer we arrived to be very warmly greeted by Jye who was great. we loved being located at the rear of the property and there was plenty of room for parking. 5 of us stayed in each cottage. The cottages themselves were just beautiful, everything was perfectly neat and tidy and just pristinely clean. the age range for our group was 49 to 85 and every single lady was very very impressed with my choice of accommodation. This was in a perfect location to everything in Dubbo and within walking distance of the town and movies, shops and many eateries, of which we frequented during our visit.
All 10 of us stated that we would choose to stay with you again. Thank you so much for you hospitality. I personally loved the pool, several of my friends did not like taking a dip in the early evening in May but just perfect for me :). Thanks Queen Amanda and the Tumba Belles
The Matilda Motor Inn is newly refurbished, and a fresh and clean space. The beds are comfortable and you even have a choice of pillow. It is close to the centre of town and still quiet.
We loved the choice we made in choosing this as a place to stay.
Very comfortable rooms and the meals are great. All staff from front desk to housekeeping are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Dubbo. Also available at this property are multi bedroom units which would be great for families travelling to the zoo.
Easy check-in, good location, friendly staff. LOVED with windscreen cleaning stations, my car was more bugs than glass. Although the restaurant was busy staff made space for me quickly. Wish there was a proper ironing board, hate those desk top types.
