“Great for the family”
Reviewed 12 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The Cottage was lovely. We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 grandsons -(6 and 7). It was clean, well provided with everything a family could need and close to all of the town attractions. The outside dunny was well appreciated. If I had any criticism it would be that there were only 2 toilet rolls- for a family staying 3 nights this was entirely inadequate. Also, there were only 2 coffee pods for the coffee machine, which were very quickly used by two tired grandparents. The road noise was a bit distracting at night time, but after a hard days exploring we all sank into the comfy beds for a good sleep.

“Cute cottage”
Reviewed 17 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This place was so beautiful and right in town. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in broken hill. It is so relaxing and the bed is so comfortable. Everything you need is supplied. Thank you so much for having me, I will be back again this year.

We stayed at the Emaroo Argent Cottage for one night. There were 4 of us and after a long trip to get to Broken Hill we really appreciated this cottage. It is very comfortable and set up with everything you need. Location while out of the main shopping centre is within a 20min stroll.

“Pet Friendly, Comfortable and Wirless”
Reviewed 30 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Couldn't have asked for anything more (apart from not being able to work out how to use the coffee machine!).

Our dogs loved the garden and we were able to leave them there safely while we went out to explore the culture of Broken Hill.

The air conditioning was just right and the bedroom very comfortable for a good night's slep.

“Better than a motel room”
Reviewed 31 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We are 4 older women who wanted to visit Broken Hill using our first and last complimentary rail pass that the Government has provided to pensioners and which ceases this year along with the Red Carriage ( economic ) on the Indian Pacific Rail network. We chose Emarroo Argent Cottage as we wanted to be together rather than staying in motel rooms where we would be isolated from one another. What a great surprise and treat it was. A fabulous little miners cottage fully renovated to the highest order, everything one could need or want was available. It provided us with accommodation close to all amenities and was much cheaper than staying in a motel for the 4 of us and more homely. We loved every minute, so no more motel rooms for us in the future!

Management Response

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review of Emaroo Argent. Glad you got the chance to use your rail pass and spend some time in Broken Hill.
Emaroo Argent is very central to shops, attractions and restaurants so it makes life easy if you do not have a vehicle. We have a lot of guests stay at our cottages who have travelled by train and find it very convenient.
Pleased that we have converted you to self-contained holiday homes. It is so much nicer to come home after a day of touring and site seeing to a place with plenty of space, kitchen facilities and an outdoor area.
Appreciate your kind words about our cottage. We try our hardest to make sure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Once again thank you for sharing your thoughts with others on TripAdvisor
Cheers
Cathy
