Stayed here for 8 nights, for the $2400 we paid I would definitely not recommend it. The rooms are nice, just look at the photos, view is spectacular. The kitchenette was convenient we were able to cook breakfast each day and save a bit of money there. The fridge was nice and big. Would be nice if they provided cooking oil with their salt and pepper though. The bathroom was decent size. Bathtub not though. The shower had some cracked tiles which were covered in silicon that kept moving off the cracks, which isn't a nice look in such an expensive apartment (compared to others) the heated towel rail and bathroom floors were a nice touch though. The lounge was great fireplace just divine. The views were great to wake up to. But not essential as you just walk outside and can see it but if you like to see it all the time it's nice. Plenty of warmth with extra blankets provided.
Located about a 10 minute walk out of town, just up top of a big hill. Not terrible but some of the places closer to town actually looked nicer.
There is a spa, they say you can book it but for our first few night it wasn't busy so they told us it wasn't necessary, so we arrive home after a huge day at the snow and the spa was in use, we kept popping out and it was in use all night, until after dinner we saw it was free so ran up only to find it was out of order. Fine, it's a Sunday I don't expect it to be fixed straight away...but then arrive back on Monday again after a huge day at the snow around 330, my partner went to reception to book the spa for the evening and was told it was still out of order and not Only that but there was also no water in the rooms. Apparently the street was without water. She told him they had people working to fix the issue and shouldn't be long. I called reception at 455 and asked when they expected it back on. The girl with an accent was extremely rude and told me she didn't know, might not be tonight, could be tomorrow and if it was to come back tonight there wouldn't be hot water. I just asked her what she suggest we do as we had been boarding all day and only wanted a shower and some water to drink! She was obviously flustered and I understand things happen out of their control but she was not very helpful, not sympathetic at all. She said she would call when she knew it would be on or when it was back on. We ordered dinner in instead of going out because we STUNK!! and felt disgusting. Didn't hear anything from her...around 8pm I thought I'd check the taps and yep it was working, an hour later the hot water kicked in so we could finally shower. Was a pretty terrible last night not being able to go out for dinner as planned. And not being able to use the spa for 25% of our time there as it was put of order. I would think somewhere that charges guests $300 a night would be able to get a spa tech out on a Monday!!
So check out was the following day. We had organized late check out being at 12pm. 11:45 as I was changing to get ready to leave, housekeeping come barging in the doors!!!!!
Luckily I was around the corner and my partner saw her and she immediately left but I do not understand how that could happen!! The lack of communication is apparent. So I go check out and there was no one at the desk, strange ..you have to call for someone to attend the desk and an older lady, I assume to be the manager came. She asked what room I was in I gave her my room cards and she said yep all done. Not even asking how the stay was or pretending to be interested. I told her I wasn't impressed with the service and lack of communication regarding the water outage, she rolled her eyes and said "so you didn't check the taps, they were on at 6pm" I told her there was no need for me to check the taps as I was expecting a phone call from her colleague. She never once apologized I also mentioned the spa and the fact it didn't work for 25% of our time there and she just didn't seem to care. I blatantly told her I wasn't happy and she said "there's nothing I can do" it's a basic human right to have access to water!!!! With no notice no communication and no offering of even drinking water!! I will not be recommending to anyone. Go and stay at one of the many Cheaper hotels or even a hostel and I'm sure you'd get better service. Yes the view is amazing but just walk anywhere in Queenstown and you'll see it.
