We stayed at the Rees for 8 nights and were happy we did.
We choose to stay in a room over the apartment. We also choose a room with a lake view.
The room was spacious and we loved the shower! Very clean which is a big deal for me.
Hotel staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful! My husband and myself utilized the shuttle bus into town quit frequently which was nice. There is also a trial along the lake which takes you to the downtown area which is very nice with beautiful views. Its about a 30min walk or so.
We did not eat at the resturant there at the hotel but heard it was very good.
There is no pool. They do have available parking at no additional cost.

Room Tip: Definitely go with a lake view. It is totally worth it!

We stayed at the Rees for 4 nights in May 2012. Stayed in a 3 bedroom executive apartment that was stunning. Although close to the main road, you have no awareness of this as the sound-proofing is unbelievable, proabably the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. We had the kids and grand-parents with us but the way the room is laid out means that everyone had their own quiet space...or in the case of the kids their own noisy space!!. The gas fire in the living room means that even whenit is -1 degrees outside, it is still warm and cosy in the room. We loved this place and would stay here again next time in town. A special thanks to Roman at the front desk for upgrading us!!

Comfortable, clean, well appointed apartments offering spectacular views* The staff are friendly and offer supurb service, even the restaurant is a memorable experience! Although not located smack bang in the middle of town..you wouldn't want it any other way once you you experience it and the lovely lakeside path is only 25 minutes walk into the town centre.
This place really made our trip - will be back.

Room Tip: Lakeview is a must!

My partner and I stayed at the Rees for 4 nights in May, 2012. We can't recommend it highly enough. Beyond the very comfortable and well-appointed room and the spectacular lake and mountain views (no need to pay more for a high floor: we were on the third floor and our view was still fabulous), what really impressed us was the service. The concierge services in particular were the best I've encountered. We asked for assistance with solving a tricky issue with two airlines for our return trip home and they handled everything perfectly. Most travelers to Queenstown take an excursion or two to attractions outside of town (Milford Sound, etc.). The hotel sent us suggestions by email well in advance of our arrival and were very responsive to follow up questions, even as late as 10 pm their time. During our stay, the entire concierge staff seemed to know everything we were up to and was eager for feedback from us, as well as to give suggestions for more.

The hotel is outside of the center of Queenstown, but they run a shuttle to town every hour (except for 2-5 pm) that is very convenient and reliable. You can also walk to town in 15-30 minutes (depending on your pace) along a lovely lakefront path. So don't let the location dissuade you from staying here.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the lake side, if available; it's worth it. But don't pay more for any floor a...

We stayed here for 5 nights on our first trip to Queenstown & really enjoyed it. The room was a studio style, very comfortable & fitted out beautifully. We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast but it was very nice & the view out over the lake through the full length glass windows while you were eating was beautiful. Only downside was that the charges for internet useage were quite high & we were charged for outgoing calls that we had used a pre paid card for, so we lost the credit off the card on top of the charge from the hotel. Otherwise, it is a very nice establishment & would stay there again.
