Christchurch is a beautiful community with a great ability of lifting everyone up with their quotes seen all around the city. Their parks and waterway running through the city is gorgeous. Lots of places to eat with a young vib.

I was quite surprised to see that Christchurch cathedral was still so badly damaged so many years after the earthquake. But seeing it in this state is a good reminder to all of the power of nature and the danger of earthquakes. Hopefully a decision is made to fix it up properly before long.

We reside in Christchurch but have only done so for the last few years and have no attachment to the cathedral as such. If only some action could be seen to either preserve the cathedral as a ruin, demolish it, or rebuild/restore, but as it is it is nothing but an eyesore and a detraction from the beautiful city that Christchurch is. Such a shame and not an encouragement to either tourists or locals to visit the city centre.

The best view of the Cathedral is from the viewing platform in the library, though it is good to stand beside the cathedral to really take in how grand it was. Sad reminder

It has a very nice aesthetic to it and has a great feel! However most of it got destroyed by the earthquake, hence the constructions.
