We were so lucky to visit on a beautiful sunny late spring day, unfortunately we had missed the daffodils but the gardens are stunning......a little bit of England abroad!

We had a lovely afternoon in the gardens.we rode on the Catterpillar .This is a vehicle with a driver /guide which drives slowly around the gardens stopping at various places e.g. hot house ,roses, trees of interest etc .Very informative about history of
the gardens types of plants and various wildlife e.g. ducks etc.
The gardens have a lovely cafe or you can picnic in the grounds.

We passed a very pleasant morning wandering through these delightful gardens enjoying nature at its best and listening to the river and the birds. A lovely green lung in the city. Well worth a wander.

It’s a big garden. There is no entry fees. You can buy a ticket for caterpillar ride which is around 55 mins of ride. Driver gives you information about plants and trees. We bought a combo pass which included tram, botanic garden caterpillar ride, Gondola and punting.

We visited in spring so there was some really nice beds of flowers, the tulips were so pretty. We only walked along the main road part so not sure what is in store for the other part of the gardens. If you love flowers it work a look. Beautiful fountain also!
