We had the most relaxing stay at woodside, a charming period property set in its own private grounds with a river and walnut trees, mountains in the distance and open fields surounding it. The hosts were welcoming and relaxed - We had an outstanding meal cooked for us and great company for the evening. A stay here is a must and would be hard to beat!

We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The Garden Suite is spacious and comfortable with a lovely ensuite shower room. Lots of little touches were taken care of. Marilyn and Philip are great hosts. We didn't take Philip's wine tour but would if we visit again as this is a highlight! Breakfast was sumptuous with lots of choice so something for everyone. Would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting this great wine region - definitely for at least 2 nights three if you have the time!

We stayed 3 nights on our first trip to Marlborough B&B and on our return from visiting Queen Charlotte Sound stayed another night. The setting is truly a piece of heaven set in quiet surrounds but very accessible to both the wineries and restaurants of Blenheim and Queen Charlotte Sound and Picton. We stayed in both types of accommodation available. Three nights in Adelaide Barn which is beautifully decorated, private and with ample provisions for breakfast. We also had one night in the garden room which was ver comfortable and beautifully decorated.
Marilyn and Philip are fantastic hosts only too willing to help if required. The wonderful added bonus is that Philip is a trained chef and we enjoyed one of his delicious dinners along with the most amazing breakfast. We also took advantage of the antipasto Platter which was perfect after already having lunched at one of the vineyards. Philip's knowledge of wines was also great and he was able to discuss with us the wines and wineries in the region. We felt it was the perfect location and won't hesitate in recommending it to others.
