Having bought Grab One deal for Dinner and a Movie we thought we would use this on Valentines night. Big mistake, HUGE!
We decided to see the 6pm showing of Darkest Hour and ordered our meal prior to going into the movie - our first surprise was that the Voucher only covered us for one Main meal choice on the menu and anything else would carry a surcharge - not a worry as this was a special occasion so we ordered the Fish and the Steak that were both $5 extra.
When we came out of the Movie the restaurant was packed - there was a table reserved for us so we got some drinks and took our seat and waited, and waited, and waited! It took over an hour for our meals to arrive (during which time lots of tables left unfed as their movies had probably started)
Our meals were just OK. My partners Steak was very under-cooked, my Fish was lovely but the accompanying new potatoes were borderline raw and the whole thing had about 100g of sun-dried tomatoes with it...
As a plus we were offered complimentary drinks and were given 2 free tickets to visit at another time.
We have been back. The service was quicker but the food was pretty average. The main difficulty is there is not too much else to choose from in Brooklyn really!

Provided a GrabOne voucher for Christmas and was looking forward to a nice evening with my better half followed by a movie.
Having never been here before left standing at counter while staff discussed a variety of issues. Provided a menu and told that we would need to return to counter to order. When we arrived there were three other tables occupied and placed order.
Table hadn’t been wiped clean, flies buzzing around so was less than impressed. Asked for a cloth and provided one and told by staff that we shouldn’t be doing their job - you don’t say!
Meals took a while to come out and nearly missed start of movie - good steak though!
Front of house staff need to sort themselves out as missing a real opportunity to impress and pull customers.

Last year when I visited, I ate before the movie and the food was delayed for so long that I missed part of the film.
So with this visit I decided to allow an hour to eat. My partner and I both ordered simple snacks - flat bread with spreads. The meals took 50 minutes to arrive.
We asked for them to be held back and served after the meal. They refused and informed us it would be OK to go into the cinema a little late (yes really!) We are also told we were not able to take the food into the cinema.
The fact that we experienced the same problem on 2 separate occasions and other reviews here report on the same issue, indicate that the cafe managers are not interested in dealing with the concerns of their customers.
Such a cynical disregard for their paying guests!
Eat somewhere else.

Used to eat here a bit. Great movies and cinema. Food and service just kill the restaurant. Run out of this, got only one of this. Hopeless.

Could be so good with a little organisation.

Good for movies only.

Eat and drink elsewhere. Brooklyn has choices.

We purchased movie tickets online and arrived early to pick them up. We purchased a glass of wine which we drank in an old sitting room to the front of the cafe. This is a very old building and could do with a spruce up. The movie theatre was great with a wide screen, comfortable seats and good sound. Seats are not allocated so arrive early to secure your preferred seat. Great parking nearby.
