Perfectly located a short walk from Te Papa and the Wellington city centre but close to lovely bush walks and so peaceful. This was our second stay at Booklovers and again we enjoyed the beautiful architecture, lovely views over Wellington, comfy beds, and delicious breakfast. Jane is a generous host and can provide lots of local knowledge. Of course, there are many books and its so much friendlier and cosier than a hotel but still very private. Booklovers is at the top of a hill which might not be so good for some people but most of Wellington is hilly and the views are worth it. Lovely to walk home after a night in a great Wellington restaurant or bar.

We loved this B&B. It is in a quiet residential location next to Mt. Victoria Park. Jane greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. We loved the excellent breakfast and chatting with other guests from around the world. Great restaurants in Wellington - Jane recommended Nobel Rot to us and it was excellent.

We stayed at Booklovers for 4 nights in March. From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by Jane you know you're going to have a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. As a host (with Russell providing superb support at breakfast with excellent scrambled eggs, omelettes and bacon in addition to fresh fruit and everything else you could wish for!) Jane is fully prepared for all of your questions and happy to guide you anywhere you may want to go in Wellington - in a gentle, not overbearing way. And take a while to chat with her about her books and research too.

Booklovers is perfectly placed on the edge of the city and you can walk to most places if the mood takes you or catch a bus which stops outside the door.

We would highly recommend Booklovers if you are in Wellington.

Perfect location close to everything in a quieter neighbourhood. Jane is very gracious and accommodating as are her staff. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. Parking is easy and free. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Booklovers is a superb B&B with all of the usual facilities of the best, including full delicious breakfasts. Yes, books everywhere for your perusal. And there really is a bus stop outside the front door. We simply did not need to use our rental car for the three days we were in Wellington.. But it was the conversation with Jane that makes Booklovers so special. We learned so much about New Zealand culture chatting with Jane. Thank you, Jane!
