Perhaps it comes alive at night but i really missed the attraction; mainly sad little shops. Nothing special

“Good Eats Around Here”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2012

I used to live in Wellington a long time ago when I thought Cuba Street, where there are many restaurants, was marvelous, but it is looking a little tired and a little seedy now. Having said that, we had a great Thai meal there, and would have loved to have tried some of the food that was sold in the street stalls, but were too full. For good food its great, for entertainment value its a bit staid.

Such a great area- especially if you enjoy a bit of people watching! Loads of variety in shopping options, eateries and the people that frequent them all.
Spend some time wandering its worth it!

“fun shopping in Cuba Mall and great books”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2012

If you love second hand books then head for Cuba Mall with a backpack and check out Ferret Bookstore (in the main mall area, west of the fountain) and the other bookstore hidden opposite down the side alley. Both have a great range of books on many topics as well as novels. Air New Zealand local flights let you have one 23 kg bag, so stock up!
