This is awesome. We were able to pre purchase our tickets online and put in our community service card/student i.d to get discounted entry. Well worth doing to get the saving. I recommend getting there as the zoo opens, because then you can have the full day joining in on all the various keeper talks and feeding times. The zoo is well laid out with plenty of stops and play areas a long the way. The vet centre is pretty interesting as you can watch a procedure being done on an animal that they have rescued. The animals all seem really well looked after and happy with obviously good relationships with their keepers.. The zoo itself is well maintained. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs although a certain level of fitness is required as most of the zoo is on the hill. You will be really tired afterwards. Lots of interesting animals to see, and themed areas. You can go through "Aussie" and pat the wallabys that are free range on the path. Plenty of photo opportunitys. A few rare animals at the zoo which is always exciting. Parking is free around the zoo. If you want to eat there avoid MOJO at the front, and stick to the eatery in the middle of the zoo instead by all means.
