Hankering for red meat? You'll find it at Crazy Horse. It's a proper steak house; they know steak and how to cook it, and what to serve it with. You'll find a good, but not huge, range of steaks and sauces. I've always been delighted with steaks from here. They have other menu items too, but this is steak house .. so, really. Don't go if you are vegetarian. This place moves from being a really good steak house to a top of the line joint beacuse of their starters, their sides and their wine list. I will keep returning for their carpaccio with parmesan crumb - it's wonderful. And the choice of side dishes is enough to make the most rampant meat eater want to eat their greens. The selection of wines from New Zealand and around the world is well thought out - lots of good wines by the glass too.
This is not the cheapest place around for a steak, but you get what you pay for. It's worth it.
Check out their two for one Mondays - great value.
While you're there, take in the great canvasses - the mask series by Elspeth Shannon is a great diversion or conversation starter.
