Lots of seating and great pub/bar ambience. Perfect bar meals/snack options. Just a few crafts on tap however we really enjoyed black dogs IPA. Was a bit steep at $12 a pint but service and staff was great.

Stopped in New Plymouth last night for a 'quick' bite with my husband. Ended up staying a few hours as the atmosphere was great. After not being able to decide which pizza we wanted (they all looked delicious) we ordered a custom made pizza. Our waitress Jess gave us wonderful service. Made sure we were happy and had drinks all night.

Will definitely recommend to our family and friends if they ever visit New Plymouth.

We decided to give the pizzas a try with our kids prior to the Mary Poppins show, Wow, we were not disappointed. The waitress, a tall thin girl with blond hair was incredible, giving our children old school books which is not common in a restaurant. She helped our children with ideas for their pizzas and went the extra mile to make our experience a special one. She got a cloth to wash our little ones hands, which was terrific. The rest of the staff where cheerfull and our whole experience was great. Our meals were lovely and our coffee made by the same waitress was great. We shall be telling our friends to call in for pizza when in New Plymouth and hopefully they too will get the service we received from such a wonderful young person. A pity you dont live in Rotorua we would be giving you a job. Thanks

We were keen to drop in for a quick pizza and beer. While the pizzas were fine, the service was terrible. No one greeted us on arrival so we weren't sure whether we just sit at an empty table or wait to be seated. I counted 5 people behind the bar of which 1 person was actually doing something. It wouldn't of taken much for someone to greet us. After no one assisted we decided to just sit down. No one came to the table so I then had to ask for menus. Then after getting menus I once again had to go to the bar and ask yet again for someone to take our order. Still there were lots of people milling around behind the bar while one person was seeing to all the tables. It wasn't even that busy!. Needless to say the drinks and food also took an eternity to arrive. When I asked the waitress if a certain beer was a dark beer, she said yes. Guess what.... it wasn't when it arrived at the table. So if you are after a quick pizza don't bother going here. The pizza was not bad though. Probably the worst service I have experienced in a long time, especially when it wasn't even that busy. I really don't like writing a bad review and this is probably only the second time I have done it. Both times due to poor service.

Thank you for the review, we appreciate them all good or bad.
We've taken this back to the team and had a good discussion about it. Obviously, we let you down and our service was well below our usually high standard. There are no excuses and we are sincerely sorry that you chose our establishment to dine at and didn't receive the service that you rightly deserved. It was nice to hear you enjoyed the pizza's, and I can promise you that if you ever return the service will be excellent.
Regards
Emma

Went out for lunch and we both ordered iced chocolates and beef and bacon burgers. The service was great, food was brought out fast and was really tasty, and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. Overall excellent experience.
