We stayed for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It only opened a few months ago,but showed no signs of teething troubles. The house has been restored to a high standard as an upmarket B&B and each of the 4 bedrooms has its own theme, though not carried to excess.
There is no cooked breakfast which might disappoint some, but our continental breakfasts were excellent. There is a full kitchen and on one evening,we were happy to bring food in a make our own meal.
There is a large deck at the back of the house, ideal for relaxing in later in the day. Issey manor is not cheap, but we found it to be good value for money, very comfortable and with friendly and efficient hosts. It is also well positioned for both the city centre and Pukepura park. both are within a few minutes walk.

Room Tip: This is a B&B,not an hotel.

Issey Manor is a beautifully renovated historical manor and we had the run of a kitchen, freshly decorated and furnished TV room with flat screen and cable. We loved the back deck looking into trees along the creek and Huatoki Walkway. A stroll to the city and shorter stroll to Pukekura Park. We stayed in Kiwiana which is the smaller of the rooms but perfect for a short stay. It had a very comfortable bed and shiny new ensuite. David, our host, is great for an interesting chat and helpful tips. Note that windows need to be open on a hot weekend and our room faced the relatively busy road. However, there are rooms in the back of the manor for a higher price.

Room Tip: If it's a hot day the rooms in the back of the Manor off the road would be preferable because you'll need the windows open.

A beautiful charming place with great attention to detail and so central to everything we didn't need to drive. The hosts were excellent. The bush outlook and lovely relaxing deck made our morning breakfasts on the deck a daily highlight. Will definitely be back to stay.
