We had an amazing 2 day stay. We were so pleased with our suite, on first floor facing the waterfront. The lounge was large with big sliding doors out to the large furnished balcony. TV in both lounge and bedroom. The bathroom was large with a separate toilet and also separate wash basin area. And a well equipped kitchenette. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant which also has a sea view. The food was nice and adequate, but I will give the breakfast only 3-4 stars out of 5 due to lack of food choices e.g. egg was only served as scrambled. I was also thinking how nice it would be with e.g. sauted mushrooms. I still liked the breakfast though. I would have liked to use the outdoor pool, but the weather got worse the second day; it's most suitable for warm sunny days but of course it is then also most popular/crowded.
The grounds are so beautiful with an abundance of colourful flowers. I must complement the gardener.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location is very central, so easy for walking around the shops, restaurants and to the wharf with the ferries. And it's not even far to walk to Waitangi Treaty Grounds.More
