Dinner for 2 @ Hunger Munger is a seafood treat.
We had Crab Risotto pockets to start -- crispy fried morsels but tasty. Next we shared the grilled fish salad -- our snapper was a little overcooked but it was both a nice presentation, generous portion for the price and tasty. We ordered the Japanese fries to go with that -- really like the Japanese delicacy, octopus balls, but fries instead with the same toppings.
There is a good selection of Hawke's Bay vino by the glass - a few not often found on other menus including Rod McDonald One Off Pinot Gris and De La Terre Chardy.
Hunger Munger has a most eclectic set of furnishings - totally wacky separates in terms of tables chairs and other accoutre'ment. And, there is an outside seating area right on Marine Parade waterfront.
If you are not a walking animal meat eater, there's a lot on the menu to choose from.
