Basic accommodation at a reasonable price. Old style accommodation but spacious room with balcony. Bathroom dark but functional. Note there is no iron in the room - there may be one available from Reception but I didn't ask. Handy walking location to Spark Arena and other facilities. Would stay again.

A spacious room with all amenties, including washing machine/dryer [very handy], bed very comfortable & view from window good, quiet. Short walk to centre of town, wharf & friends who were staying in Beach Rd. Staff very helpful checking in after hours & polite, checking on our wellbeing & if they could help.

Room Tip: We could see Spark Arena so was fine, really the room is to relax in before you sleep then we get out and about

Apartment is reasonably sized, completes with amenities such as laundry, kitchen etc. We walked to city center from here.

Parking is bit tough here. Also street parking is not easily available (overnight street parking is free though). We had a bit of bad luck with parking, with our 12-seater van. So, plan your parking.

Location is great, short walk to the ferries and the heart of town. Room was clean and tidy with enough space for two large pieces of luggage.
The rooms were a little dated but when checking in management informed us they had recently taken over and were after some feedback on what to tackle first.
Bathroom needed more storage or at least a shelf near the mirror, getting ready is a pain where the is literally no space to place a toiletry bag.

We have stayed here many times over the last few years and have always been very happy with the service. This stay was excellent as always.
We arrived very early (midday) so we expected to drop our bags and come back later but the desk receptionist insisted that she wold go up and check the room and then happily let us check in.
Yes the rooms are getting a little tired with a few paint chips, but nothing major and everything works (fridge, dishwasher & clothes washer / dryer included). We are used to staying 4 star ( I used to have senior rolls in 4 star).
The hotel is 5 to 10 minutes walk to the bottom of Queen Street / ferry building ; a bit of a hill, but this is central Auckland it is all hill!
This is our first choice for central Auckland every time
