“Very pleasant.”

It's kind of a small park, but I really enjoyed it with the kids. The butterfly house and crocs make it something a little different from the other farm animal parks out there. But it has all that too.

“Fun with younger children”
Reviewed 10 February 2012

A little busy to be truly enjoyable and definitely a fabulous spot with preschoolers and young primary schoolers. My boys a little too big at 9 and 10 and all they wanted to do was go next door to the adventure climbing!! Cafe OK but service could be better

“Excellent for the little ones!”
Reviewed 10 February 2012

We took 3 (under 4) grand daughters - they just loved it - even the crocs! Would highly recommend it. We took our own picnic lunch, but have heard the cafe is really good too.

“A great day out for the young and old”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

Although the layout has not been strategically planned for optimum profit (e.g the gift shop is before you reach the butterfly's) you cannot help by be enchanted by the beautiful gift shop with it's range of colourful objects of desire for the kids and even yourself.
I would recommend browsing through the gift shop after you have seen everything else so that you won't have to carry everything around with you as the day proceeds.
Before the butterfly room there is an aquarium which is full of a variety of fish species great for the kids to get settled down in an aspect of excitement and awe.
As you head into the butterfly room the humidity hits you so do make sure your not wearing anything to hot and heavy. Although the attraction is named after the "butterfly's" it isn't the best butterfly house I've ever seen. Still it's great for the kids and the garden and environment is well set out with turtles and other reptiles on show. Be sure to catch the daily appearances of tarantulas, butterfly feeding and baby alligators which are all great experiences.
Once you've finished looking at the butterfly's you'll come to into a large room with two large Crocodiles. There are two enclosures which are surrounded by clear glass so that elevated above people can see the enclosure. When there are feeding shows on you must be prepared to "stand your ground" because its first- come-first-serve and often those with children get the best spot to see the enormous jaws of the crocs open with ferocious teeth offering great photo opportunities.
After the Crocodiles there are more baby alligators off to the side and then there is the insect room which includes my favourite, the coach-roach house which is absolutely creepy and disgusting. After the insect room you'll find that you have gone in a full circle and come out at the gift shop.
Across from the gift shop is a large Cafe/Restaurant with all-round good food and service which is a bit on the pricier side (Something you would expect at such an attraction like this). There is also an ice cream parlour for the kids which offer a range of delicious flavours at a good price.

The Animal farm includes goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, sheep and plenty more. The Farm Barn and Train ride are great for the kids and feeding the goats is an experience not to miss.
The fantastic new attraction at butterfly creek is the high ropes which offers challenging fun and excitement for older children and teenagers.
Butterfly creek is an all-round fantastic day out whether your with little children or teenagers. There is definitely room for improvement such as "24/7" staff in the Butterfly House and on the Farm talking about the animals and their natural habitats etc..
All-in-all once you've come here your bound to come again.
:) 4/5
