Outside, the hostel's location close to the CBD, and lot of supermarkets around, banks, restaurants/bar... Inside, strong smelling floor, thins walls (noisy place, specially saturday night!), bathroom not really clean. Basic breakfast provided, wifi available.
Just to stay a couple of night.

We stayed here twice, in January we stayed in a room near the reception close to kitchen internet etc. On the weekend it was a little noisy but the rest of the time it was OK as the window has to be left open, no aircon. It is located at the top of the hill that is Queen street and a little walk to the hub.
We stayed here a few days ago and this time we were on the floor above the reception, and at first the room seemed to be bigger and more modern. The only problem is it was built to a price and every time someone moved it sounded like a drum being beaten.
So if you are a sound sleeper it is an OK place to stay, if not ear plus or elsewhere recommended

I had booked a 3 bed mixed dorm & was informed on check in that there were no 3 beds left but had now been upgraded to a 2 bed. So far so good. I was a bit apprehensive that I was staying with a male stranger but he was very friendly. There was free wifi all over the hostel, free breakfast which was fantastic & set you up for the day exploring the city. There was also free use of computer to use if you didn't have your own device which I thought was fantastic.

The only problem was the room was like a hot box & had no windows or ventilation, just a small fan that didn't seem to make much difference. Despite this I got an amazing sleep every night & they had very comfy thick mattresses. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The atmosphere at the Hostel was pretty strange. There were two older guys sitting in front of the TV the whole day. The bathrooms were not clean and the breakfast was very basic, only toast, peanut butter and jam. The double room was not so nice, only a bed in a room. However, the hostel was centerally located, so you could walk to the sights, restaurants and shopping centres. Also, the Airport shuttle stops only a few steps away from the hostel. If you are looking for a cheap stay in the centre of Auckland the Hostel is ok for few nights.

Really friendly people. You feel like you're full of friends. Good service as well. Everything in there's clean. Central location, close to museums, cbd, beach, zoo, pubs, supermarket, etc. The staff is always available to give you information.
