Hotel Attika is along Newcastle St - which is a major road, so is easy to find your way to the hotel.
However, most of the hotel stretches back a block behind the front part of the hotel on the main road.(In fact, ask for a South-facing room and you might even get a view of the city skyline!). There are other boutique hotels in the vicinity, so the immediate neighbourhood is relatively quiet.
But, as for the larger neighbourhood... Northbridge is happening! It's a great scene for pubs, cafes, el-fresco dining and generally well-behaved people out for an evening stroll.
And, even better... If you walk down Lake Street, you cross over Northbridge's famed "James Street, and you can be in the city of Perth in around 10 minutes (walking!). Perth city Centre is easy to walk around, but there are also free buses. The Red Cat takes you along a circular roué that stretches East-West. The Blue Cat take you North-South so you can get back to Northbridge by bus, if you want.
The hotel itself? Basic amenities, but it's clean, and the friendly staff at the reception are helpful. You get secure undercover parking and you exit the carpark through the reception area, so you always get a nod and a smile as you enter (it also makes you feel safe that anyone entering by foot or car has to pass the reception desk).More
