“Welcome o the Crack house!”

What were we thinking? We booked the $88/night executive suite. HAHAHAA. What a joke, it has a tv, with no reception, a fan that struggles to spin, a fridge that barely works. Walls that remind me of the deborchery that has occured in the past. Just a horrible room. The shared bathrooms are filthy with no exhaust extraction. The hallways littered with work boats that woft an oddor that is very unpleasant. management seem to spent more time devising ways of fining and charging guests rather than keeping the place clean and in order.

We decided within an hour that we would not stay another night. Its a buget hostel for workers and crack heads. If this is you, welcome to paradise. If wish I had read TA reviews first. Be warned!

Room Tip: keep walking!

Dirty rooms (I had a private) far too expensive and most people I spoke to on dorms didn't like their rooms. Bathrooms filthy and corridors smelt terrible. If you want a hostel with a bar then I suppose this has that! I will say though that the staff were sort of helpful.

This place is not a BASE hostel so does not have the same standards. I arrived in the early evening and was put in a 6 bed dorm. Iy was very hot. No fans. The pate was a complete mess. The showers were very basic and the toilets were less than discusting. When u ask the staff a question they look at you as if you have commited a crime. There are lots of long term workers living here so you dont get to talk to anyone as they stick in thier own groups and dont mix DO NOT STAY HERE. U WILL BE DISSAPOINTED IF YOU DO. The whole place is dirty and was being sprayed for some kind of infestation when I was there.

Room Tip: Get a room in another hostel

I am quite surprised by the bad reviews as this was on of ther better hostels we stayed in while in Australia. Our room was clean and the beds were clear. Bathrooms were veryy typical of a hostel and the dining room/bar was stunning, drink prices were also very resonable compared to the rest of Perth. It was also in a good location to walk into town and to the kings park and the casino.

Firstly we were given a very cold welcome by the blonde girl on reception. We arrived early and we were told check in was at 1pm which was fine and could we leave our bags here. She replied with a moody look "Well let me check if you have a reservation first!" We then asked if we could upgrade to a double room - which we were happy to pay for and she said they were full. Only later on when we did check in we asked another girl if we could get a double room and she said yes!!! Unbelievable! So the staff were pretty unhelpful and not very friendly. The queue for reception was always long and there was no apology or even a smile to acknowledge you. Our room was nice- it was a double thank god. A fridge, TV, desk, wardrobe.
The kitchen was dirty and quite small, there was one upstairs but smaller and electrical items not even working. The showers were unclean, hairs everywhere, windows disgusting with spider webs all over. The common area and bar were large, and thats good, but the drinking culture in this place is stupid. The majority of people staying here are Irish - and I dont have anything against them. But everyone we encountered were loud, rude and drunk. This hostel is also a long term place for people working and they probably seem more concerned with these guests. Notes were left on their doors saying you need to see reception to check out so they obviously are not keeping good track of them. The bar is loud and noisy and the hallways were loud until early hours of the morning. Banging doors occurred very often. I cant understand why the management dont do anything to sort out this hostel - I mean look at the reviews, they obviously dont care. Basically dont stay here!!!!

Room Tip: If you have to stay here get a private.
