Description: It was a wise Italian who once said, ‘A tavola non si invecchia’ — one does not grow old at the table. We too believe the pleasures of good food, good wine, and good company are such that they remain suspended in time — a joy forever. It’s with this philosophy, and warm conviviality, that we invite you to Post Osteria & Bar to discover something both timeless, and unexpected. Sharing the tastes, tales and traditions of Italy, Executive Chef Kim Brennan’s menu nods to European simplicity — deeply appealing food and flavours, realised with the highest quality of local produce. What was once the franking room of the city’s General Post Office, today breathes new life as a relaxed place to linger over coffee, settle in for a long lunch, or draw the day’s curtains with a night cap at the bar.

We had an excellent experience for lunch today. We made a booking after being turned away for a walk in the night before - so glad we came back! Service was spot on and the food delicious. We split to kingfish crudo to start, then my husband had the pasta special (spanner crab) and I had the risotto with scallops. Sensational!

The service personal (Amanda from Ireland) was just sensational with her friendly and forthcoming attitude and skills! The pork coteleta was one of the best I have ever received! Thanks for everything! We had a fantastic time!

Though to myself that this place deserves a review, which i do too rarely. Walked in without a reservation on a busy night, but somehow the maitre d' managed to find us a table.

While the food did not disappoint in any way (had squid, which we were told was a Freemantle local, gnocchi and a seafood pasta), what really made the night was the service. Extremely tentative, friendly and relaxed, while always on top of everything!

Will definitely go back, though may maybe with a prior reservation.

I tend to be a bit dubious about restaurants attached to hotels, but Post sits quite independently as a great destination. It’s a Sunday night and the place is full and well laid out. Polished service greets us and is maintained for most of the evening. We choose the four courses that allows us to get a cross section of the menu. The wine list is impressive and well thought out.
