Skyscrapers, mansions, country clubs, and shopping areas dot this area as we sailed the Swan River. Everything is breathtaking, especially seeing old historic buildings next door to new multi-story units.

We last visited Elizabeth Quay in 2016 and the difference this time was massive, in fact we thought we had gone to the wrong place as it was unrecognisable. Although the new cafes and restaurants were nice , the huge new buildings currently under construction have spoiled the area particularly overshadowing The Bell Tower , which is a really lovely building. It will be interesting to see how things have progressed on our next visit in 2 years time.

Look, it's a way off being finished in terms of surrounding building construction like the Ritz Carlton Hotel etc but the concept is good. Don't book or dine at Barrack Street Jetty until this area is finished as there is too much construction, dust, noise and just simply " still in progress " stuff going on ... all in all will be good though ....
