Years ago, when my family and I lived in Perth, we often dined at Annalakshmi as we were on a tight budget, and the concept that we could have a meal and pay what we felt was the value, meant that we could actually dine out, pay an ethical amount and not be overcharged for the privilege of dining in the city. My recent visit after a long absence was not disappointing. The friendly service, good range of meals to suit all from vegetarians to meat eaters and plenty of dining-hall style seating was a plus. Now that they have a view of the Swan River, it is a delightfully informal place to eat good, honest food. Since my last visit, my circumstances have improved, I paid what I felt was on a par with other local restaurants, and was happy to do it. I hope that
Annalakshmi continues to give the patrons we saw that came from a wide range of social and international backgrounds, a relaxing and no frills family style experience, at a cost everyone can tailor to their budget.
