I was out with my girlfriend and one of my good friends. I swear that if it wasn't for said good friend that told us about this place, we would've never known it existed! It is tucked in a corner near Jacobs Ladder in Mounts Bay Road.

To sum up this place: Putting aside the friendly service and modern, understated decor, the food quality was better than Seafood Aquarium and comparable to Silks, all at a lower price point...! We spent between the three of us only $160 and that included soup, peking duck, and three mains.

If you love upmarket Chinese food, you need to try this hidden gem, period.

We made a takeout delivery order from this restaurant and the food was definitely above average.

Not oily or greasy, quite fresh tasting with lots of fresh ingredients they obviously make an extra effort to perk up dishes that other places can be lazy about.

Dim sum (yum cha) restaurants in central Perth come and go, with our past favourite, Joy Garden in Chinatown recently closing, so it has been necessary to try new places. This place is our new favourite. Very friendly staff bring freshly cooked fried dishes around rather than letting them get cold on trolley. Nice fresh seafood if perhaps a little too salty. Nice aromatic Chinese tea. Our favourite dishes include the Scallop and prawn dumplings, Fried BBQ pork dumplings, Prawn wontons and Prawn and spinach dumplings. It's Open 6 days closed Thursdays but it's very popular on weekends and there are long queues outside.

I never write bad comments. This restaurant is unbelievably terrible! There are three main points I would like to point out,

1- Vert Salty Dishes
Two of us just got over a cold but still have some coughs. I think our throats are then very sensitive. Every bites we had it seemed we had a spoonful of salt. We both coughed at each mouthful of food! Lots of MSG.

2 - Long waited food & Very Bad Communication between kitchen and front staff
Over an hour wait , we were told one of the dishes we ordered has run out. Another 15 mins, we were told again another dishes has run out too. We ordered 5 dishes, two have run out of stock! And we were told after one hour and 15 mins later !!!! How does it happen in a decent built restaurant?!?!?! The table next to us also have the same issue. And of course when we tried to pay , the cashier lady got the order all wrong. She had no idea what we have had.

3 - more importantly - Very Arrogant Manager
After waited for one and half hour, my husband got a bit annoyed . We were trying to talk to the manager and find out why the long wait. The manager just said "you can cancel the order now" . No apologies. No feeling ashamed. If this wasn't a staff dinner, we had just gone and eaten something else!

I just can't believe this could happen in a Chinese restaurant. Chinese restaurants are often very efficient. I could not believe this restaurant could survive in a highly competitive area like Northbridge. I am sure you may not believe what I have said. But pls I highly NOT recommend this restaurant to everyone .

We returned to have dim sum with fanily on the weekend after hearing some good feedback from friends.
Their menu were much improved and variety. All five kinds of buns and dumplings we had were fresh and delicious. The prawn rice paper rolls with baby green leaves topples were soft, smooth and delicious. Unlike many other places, their chilli oil was rich of spicy. The fry squids were nice, but would be nicer with less oilly coating flour mixtures. If you are fan of chicken feet, must try some to taste the differenes!
